This docking station makes it easier for teams to manage payment terminals. In hospitality, whether in a restaurant or a hotel lobby, transactions happen constantly. You may have seen rows of terminals charging, but there are logistical challenges in making sure a terminal is available when an employee starts a shift.

This docking station centralizes the terminals, eliminates the extra electronics of four separate chargers, saves counter space and shows each terminal’s charge level.

For this project components were already defined. The design had to solve the problem of the most convenient way to showcase all the devices. We iterated around open structures where the device could be grabbed from a single motion to more closed enclosures for a more discreet design. The security concern and the possibility of closing both front and back panels sealed the product into its rectangular shape.
